Summary Maintenance Supervisor | Renewable Energy Generation As the Maintenance Supervisor of Renewable Energy Generation, you will oversee the maintenance and performance of APS's Renewable Generation assets, including Solar, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and Micro-grids. You will lead a team of field personnel to execute maintenance programs while developing and maintaining standards to optimize asset performance, reduce lifecycle costs, and uphold safety and ethical practices. Additionally, you will drive program development, stakeholder collaboration, and ensure alignment with regulatory, customer satisfaction, and sustainability goals. Key Skills and Responsibilities Asset Maintenance Oversight: Manage the maintenance and operational performance of renewable generation assets, including Solar, BESS, and Micro-grids. Team Leadership: Supervise and guide field personnel, ensuring the safe and effective execution of maintenance programs. Program Development: Design and implement operations and maintenance standards, processes, and practices to achieve optimal asset performance and lifecycle cost reductions. Project and Contract Management: Oversee contracts, budgets, and renewable maintenance projects to align with departmental and organizational goals. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure operations meet or exceed regulatory standards and compliance requirements. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align maintenance efforts with broader sustainability and integrated resource plans. Budget and Resource Management: Develop and monitor budgets to support efficient and cost-effective program execution. Continuous Improvement: Evaluate and improve processes to enhance operational effectiveness and sustainability outcomes. Minimum Requirements Maintenance Supervisor | Renewable Energy Generation + Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Finance or Business from an accredited college or university + Four (4) years of related experience + In lieu of bachelor's degree, a combination of college coursework and/or experience equaling eight (8) years. + Broad and in-depth knowledge of utility operations, construction, metering, safety standards, and local/state/federal regulations. + Demonstrated abilities in the development and implementation of key initiatives, project management, contractor relations, customer service and influencing through direct/in-direct leadership. Preferred Special Skills, Knowledge or Qualifications: + Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. + Excellent project management, business planning, and negotiating skills. Major Accountabilities + Provides day-to-day oversight of the project/program-related activities through direct/indirect leadership and collaborative team building. + Ensures compliance with any and all program, company and regulatory requirements (including the Accident Prevention Manual and all associated Safety Requirements). + Proactively informs leadership of key issues, concerns and/or opportunities regarding Renewable Generation. + Identifies and/or solicits feedback from stakeholders in order to implement process improvement measures that continually improve project/program efficiencies and stakeholder satisfaction. + Develops and maintains effective working relationships with key stakeholders including customers, contractors and any internal employees associated with the program. + Manages budgets to maximize the benefit to customers and the company. + Leads and mentors' direct reports active in project execution, project development, contract management, and initiative development and execution. + Assesses industry standards, practices and other utilities efforts, in order to implement program or policy changes accordingly. + Participates as a company representative in various forums, committees and working groups as it relates to program, department, or company issues. + Develops and maintains technical expertise regarding solar operations and maintenance principles. CIP Requirement: This position requires Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) access consistent with North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) standards. The applicant considered for this role will be required to obtain and maintain CIP access for the duration of employment in this position. A full seven (7) year criminal history will be obtained through the pre-employment background check process (or, for current employees, through supplemental background check process) to fulfill the CIP access requirements. In addition, this position requires an additional background check every seven years to maintain access. Onsite: Requires work to be performed in the field and/or at an APS facility.
