Candidates from outside or within State Service can apply.As a Maintenance Supervisor 2, you will oversee the activities of skilled trades, semiskilled, and unskilled positions including:• Reviewing maintenance requests to determine what materials, equipment, and staff are needed• Planning all rehabilitation and construction projects• Implementing and enforcing preventative maintenance program• Inspecting all work in progress and completed work to ensure regulatory and code compliance• Developing training programs Minimum Qualifications Candidates from outside or within State Service can be considered for hire under the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement – Statewide (NY HELPS) program as a Maintenance Supervisor 2 if they have 2 years of first-level supervisory experience in maintenance and operation of a physical plant; building construction; and/or building renovation and/or repair projects.
