Provides daily oversight and quality control of all aspects of facility maintenance. High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate of Arts Degree from an accredited school or technical certification preferred. One to Three years of experience in facility/maintenance supervisory capacity and Electrician, HVAC or Plumbing license preferred. Assists with providing overall management for facility maintenance. May provide supervision to the Maintenance Department in the absence of the Facility Manager. Manages, supervises and trains Job Corps’ Work-Based Learning and Leisure Time student workers assigned to the Maintenance Department. Qualifications Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Facility Maintenance Manager to support the overall management of facility operations and maintenance. This role plays a key part in planning, budgeting, scheduling, and ensuring quality control of both internal and subcontracted work. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, and demonstrate a commitment to integrity and continuous improvement. Schedule: Monday Thru Friday 8am - 5pm (WEEKENDS OFF)!! Benefits: + Competitive hourly wage + Free Health and Dental insurance + Opportunities for professional development + Positive and inclusive work environment + Making a difference in the lives of young individuals Key Responsibilities: + Ensure strict adherence to integrity guidelines and prevent manipulation of student data. + Support the management of facility maintenance operations, including planning, budgeting, staff training, and scheduling. + Assist in oversight and quality control of subcontracted facility and equipment work, including third-party/National Office-led projects. + Participate in CTST (Career Technical Skills Training) project planning sessions and maintenance meetings to ensure alignment with company standards. + Support the development and implementation of the Center’s energy conservation program. + Help manage a computerized work order system, ensuring timely corrective and preventive maintenance, and coordinating student involvement with CTT instructors. + Assist in preparing scopes of work for subcontractors and ensure work meets contractual, local, company, and government standards. + Help fill staffing vacancies, provide staff training, and manage performance through motivation, development, accountability, and disciplinary action when necessary. + Encourage a positive, supportive work environment and recognize employee accomplishments. + Uphold and model Career Success Standards for students; maintain respectful and professional student interactions. + Deliver quality services to students, monitor their needs, and implement improvements as necessary. + Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, contributing meaningfully to collaborative efforts and providing timely, accurate information to DOL/Company as required. + Collaborate across departments to ensure smooth operations and student support. + Accept supervision and be flexible in supporting other departments or roles as assigned. Qualifications: + High School Diploma or equivalent REQUIRED + Three to five years experience in facility/maintenance supervisory capacity and Electrician, HVAC or Plumbing license preferred. + Prior experience supervising or training staff is preferred. + Strong understanding of preventive maintenance systems and energy conservation initiatives. + Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills. + Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and student population. + Proficient in using work order or facility management software. Work Environment: This role requires occasional physical activity, including inspecting facilities and interacting with maintenance operations. Flexibility to work varying shifts and respond to emergencies may be necessary.
