TITLE:                     MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR

LOCATION:             ARVIN, CA

COMPENSATION:  $67,000 - $85,000 / YEAR

 

 

PURPOSE:


To direct and manage all plant maintenance related duties as they pertain to improving and maintaining the operation of the Production Plant with the direct responsibility of improving and maintaining the upkeep and performance of equipment.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

 

To maintain and operate production related equipment. Supervise and maintain a preventive maintenance program. Maintain plant buildings and grounds. Communicate both written and verbal with equipment manufacturers and vendors. Must fully train personnel in basic through high-level maintenance tasks. Supervise plant electrical and computer control systems. Schedule, direct and manage a work force. Practice and enforce good safety habits.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

 

Ability to frequently move about outdoors, inside the office and in food processing facilities (including stairs and walking in uneven surfaces). Ability to inspect equipment and product. Ability to operate a computer and other office productivity equipment. Operating hand and power tools, working on equipment that is elevated or low to the ground. Must be able to work in different temperatures (working temperatures as hot as 105° F and as cold as 20° F). Must be able to work in a high noise area. Must be able to move items weighing up to 50 lbs.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Must have at least three years of maintenance, fabrication, or production management experience.Must be knowledgeable in Production Plant design and operation, safety, product safety, and job duties pertaining to plant engineering and maintenance.Must be knowledgeable in plant engineering management (i.e. statistical process analysis, preventative maintenance programs, inventory, personnel, staff training and development, purchasing) and all other related functions.Remote work not available for this position.Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean DMV driving record.Must pass pre-placement drug/alcohol screen, physical and functional capacity evaluation.
