Maintenance Supervisor

More Driven.** **About the Position:** The Area Lead, Maintenance directly supervises assigned hourly employees and operations to ensure safe operations, quality work, and work rules are followed. The candidate must have a continuous improvement attitude. This position will also facilitate and resolve problems as well as complete miscellaneous work required by the reliability manager. **Work Schedule:** 2-2-3 work schedule on a night crew (6pm-6am) **Responsibilities:** + Responsible for field supervision and coordination of the daily jobs. Ensuring that all maintenance activities in the plant are appropriately carried out. + Maintaining and upholding the quality and standards of an organization. + Keeping a record of all maintenance and service activities conducted and maintaining a cycle of the same. + Interacting with other departments and shifts to ensure proper functioning of all systems in a plant. + Ensures that all safety standards are adhered to by subordinates. + Delegating work to subordinates and ensuring the timely completion of the same. + Filing purchase orders and other documentations for the procurement of spare and replacement parts + Responsible for implementing and ensuring approaches for preventative/predictive maintenance tasks and maintenance repair techniques are standardized and effective for the plant’s equipment base. + Works closely with plant reliability engineers to coordinate the development of engineering solutions to repetitive equipment failures and other maintenance problems to reduce the need for maintenance while improving costs and reliability. + Support the maintenance group in ensuring accurate up to date spare parts lists are available for existing equipment and new installations, equipment and components are consistent with established standards and reliability enhancements. **Education and Experience:** + Bachelor's Degree or 5 years relevant work experience without degree + Minimum of one year relevant work experience required with Bachelors degree + Experience in manufacturing or military experience preferred. + Experience in tire manufacturing processes preferred **Skills and Abilities:** + Requires the ability to manage multiple tasks. + Strong communication and problem solving skills. + Knowledge of safety and quality procedures, HR policies, and budgeting. + Ability to lead teams. \#LI-RB2 \#LI-BC1 Goodyear is one of the world's largest tire companies.
