Lower Buckeye Road  Transdev is proud to offer:  Attractive benefits package, including 401(k) with company contribution, medical, dental and vision. Paid time off & vacation.What will you do?   Assists with scheduling employees for the department; trains and coaches mechanicsMonitors daily accident reports to establish efficient repair schedules; inspects damaged units to estimate cost of repair and time required for repairsEstablishes priority of maintenance and repairs based on availability of materials and parts and requirements of scheduled operationsHelps to ensure that company and client equipment is maintained and operating efficientlyControls and monitors inventory, in the absence of Parts staff; examines worn or damaged parts and makes recommendations for repair/replacement to managementEnsures that all vehicles are fueled, cleaned, and properly workingImplements safety policies and procedures for the department; maintains a safe working environmentEnsures that property, grounds, and facilities are clean and well organized What you will need?  Be courteous and professional. Must be at least 21 years old.High school Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).Excellent customer service and communication skills.Be safety minded.A valid Arizona Drivers License.Must possess a Commercial Driving License with Passenger and Airbrake endorsementsAppropriate Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications preferredMaster Mechanic certification preferredAble to read and write English.Experience:  3 years or more of progressively responsible experience in the repair and maintenance of all types of automotive and transit equipment including supervisory experience Skills and Knowledge Required:   Good written and oral communication skillsBroad understanding of all mechanical systems related to heavy duty transportation vehiclesFamiliarity with laws/regulations associated with the safe operation of maintenance facilitiesAbility to read, interpret and apply documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.Ability to read blue prints, schematics, and other mechanical and/or electrical diagramsAbility to read and write routine reports, forms, and other documentation or correspondenceWorking knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPointAbility to organize and perform work efficiently; strong attention to detailsAbility to work well with laborTravel requirement (as a percent):
