About the Role:
The Maintenance Supervisor role at the Forest Park location is responsible for providing support to hourly team members in the areas of safety, productivity, quality, cost, equipment, and engagement. This position is responsible for the set-up of materials, equipment, machine operation and packaging of WIP and finished goods for delivery to the warehouses. The Maintenance Supervisor must direct and lead a team of hourly team members and foster and promote continuous improvement and a positive work environment. Other responsibilities include:
Oversee the maintenance process looking for ways to improve efficiencies, meeting all production and maintenance metrics and deadlines.Assign work, analyze productivity, workflow, methods and procedures, making recommendations to management as appropriate. Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action. Administer discipline, corrective action and coaching as needed. Assist in the resolution of any employee disputes or grievances. Completes maintenance labor by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules to minimize OT; resolving problems; reporting results of the shift production daily.Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product and safety environment in the workplace.Responsible for recognizing, reporting and troubleshooting food safety and/or quality issues. Inspects products to verify conformance to specifications and directs setup and adjustments of machines as needed.Utilize the management operating structure to lead maintenance team; develop and analyze data and create action plans to reduce top down time drivers.Important Details: This is a full-time permanent role with responsibilities across multiple shifts which operate Monday – Friday with occasional overtime on Saturday and/or Sunday.

Bachelor’s Degree or comparable experience is requiredMinimum of three (3) years Supervisory experience; experience in a union environment preferred. Prior experience in a food manufacturing environment. Ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization through effective communication.Ability to foster a workplace of collaboration and positive reinforcement for all employees.SAP preferred. Proficient use of computer programs and software. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to handle multiple competing demands.Ability to work a flexible schedule.Excellent leadership qualities, verbal and written communication skills, technical analysis, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are required
