Maintenance Supervisor

Summary

Supervises maintenance team, plans and implements all maintenance activities in order to maximize production while adhering to standard safe practices and procedures.  Ensures capital assets are maintained in accordance with the manufacturers recommended maintenance schedule to maximize equipment life and to ensure safe operation of the assets.  Coaches maintenance associates on best practice, and provides support to the team to successfully achieve the goals and objectives of the department.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities Ensure safe working conditions for all associates. Hire, train, lead, motivate, develop and engage the maintenance staff to meet the needs of the department. Manage the corrective, preventive and predictive maintenance programs for assigned assets. Ensure maintenance programs and records are maintained for all assigned assets. Ensure projects comply with all local, state, and federal safety & environmental requirements, regulations, and best practices. Minimum Education

High School Graduate or GED required.

BS Degree or comparable technical training within the mechanical and/or electrical crafts preferred.

Experience Requirements Understanding of manufacturing technologies

Strong supervisory and interpersonal skills

Strong communication, organizational and analytical skills

Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge required

Understanding of standard maintenance software applications

Experience Preferred 5 years minimum of mechanical and/or electrical maintenance or equivalent experience. Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

Able to move freely throughout the AgriBusiness facilities to include climbing vertical heights (0 - 150'); carrying tools and equipment (0 – 50 pounds); exposure to extreme temperatures (0-100 Degrees Fahrenheit); humidity, (0 - 100%); noise (50db to 100db – hearing protection required); and chemicals (MSDS sheets available).  Required to travel to remote AgriBusiness facilities, customer locations, and training activities.  Able to use standard office equipment.  Overnight travel may be required.
