**Summary**
Join our largest grain export facility in **Belle Chasse, LA** , as a **Maintenance Supervisor.** Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role will coordinate mechanical and electrical maintenance activities, including scheduling and coordinating maintenance; managing work requests and job requirements; leading and motivating a team of union electricians, millwrights, and contractors; and overseeing scheduling, training, development, and safety of the maintenance team.
The ideal candidate will be a passionate leader, skilled in maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems, and ready to contribute to our recently expanded facility.
**Responsibilities**
**Team Leadership:**
+ Supervise and lead an effective maintenance team to ensure consistent equipment availability and minimize production disruptions.
+ Provide training and coaching to maintenance employees.
+ Facilitate proper training for maintenance personnel.
**Maintenance Supervision:**
+ Oversee plant maintenance activities, including predictive maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and emergency interventions.
+ Ensure all maintenance employees complete work orders in the CMMS.
+ Maximize performance by utilizing a proactive preventative maintenance program.
**Collaboration:**
+ Work closely with operations and the maintenance department to schedule work orders, determining necessary equipment time, parts, and tools.
+ Collaborate with the inventory manager to keep Binstock current and maintain critical parts inventory.
**Reporting and Program Development:**
+ Report daily work activities to the Maintenance Manager.
+ Assist in building and developing a world-class electrical and mechanical program.
**Safety and Compliance:**
+ Ensure all work practices and equipment meet CHS safety standards.
+ Cultivate and promote a strong safety culture by following all safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
+ Identify and communicate workplace hazards, and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
**Additional Duties:**
+ Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed or assigned.
**Minimum Qualifications (required)**
+ High School diploma or GED
+ 2+ years of experience in Production, Operations, and/or Maintenance
**Additional Qualifications**
+ Maintenance and repair in a production setting.
+ Previous team leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
+ Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
+ Proficient in Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)/Automation, specifically Siemens and Endress+Hauser instrumentation.
+ Strong electrical background with basic mechanical knowledge.
+ Strong problem-solving skills to address maintenance issues promptly.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.
+ Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
+ Ability to work extended hours to meet business demands.

**Physical Requirements**
+ Ability to work in noisy, dusty and all weather conditions
+ Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
+ Ability to wear required personal protective equipment.
