The Maintenance Supervisor performs duties throughout the coke storage facility, PABTX. Primary responsibilities include performing daily rounds, monitoring employee status and performance, conducting audits, issuing permits, coordinating train traffic, communicating with the Client on daily events, attending meetings, maintaining documentation, enforcing safety rules and regulations, and assisting the General Manager and Operations Manager with daily operations of the facility.
What You’ll Be Doing:
+ Ensure all Team Members follow proper safety rules and operating procedures and facilitate corrective action, as needed
+ Extensive knowledge of heavy equipment (Dozers, Loaders, Ship Loaders), railroad, and conveyor operating techniques
+ Communicate the needs within the facility to the Client
+ Issuing frequent work orders to ensure the system is properly maintained
+ Understanding, implementing, and enforcing all associated procedures
+ Use of communication with all parties involved via radio or any other means of communication
+ Working with maintenance to assist with jobs in which additional manpower is needed
+ Keeping safety is the first and foremost important task of every shift
+ Competent use and enforcement of all required PPE including breathing air
+ Completing and filing all necessary documentation as required including JSA's, permits, log entries, safety meetings, audit sheets, daily check sheets, etc.
+ Supervise daily operations and workforce
+ Assist in all training of Team Members
+ Assist the General Manager and Operations Manager with facility issues, employee coaching, and disciplinary actions
+ Maintain company objectives and expectations in the absence of the General Manager and Operations Manager
+ Other duties as assigned
What You Need to Be Successful:
+ Experience in bulk materials, conveyor systems, railroad, and heavy equipment
+ Experience interacting with an hourly, salary, and client-based workforce
+ Proven ability to focus on details, follow work rules, and adhere to work schedules
+ Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record satisfactory to the Company and its insurers
+ Experience with OSHA guidelines, policies, and procedures
+ Excellent communication skills – both oral and written
+ Efficient with standard office software programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, GSAP)
+ Must be able to multi-task and set priorities, be available for callouts and work holidays and/or weekends
+ Ability to manage confidential issues
