Check out this video for more information on our great company! Location Description Pyramid Hotel Group is the manager of this Candlewood Suites Hotel owned by Michigan State University. The 128-suite hotel is attached to MSU's state-of-the-art 96,000-square-foot Executive Education Center, overlooking the MSU-owned 18-hole championship golf course. Hotel guests also have access to the adjacent University Club dining facilities, health club, day care and recreational facilities. Overview The Maintenance Supervisor oversees all aspects of hotel maintenance, including public space, guest rooms, kitchen and outlets, hotel equipment, preventive-maintenance programs, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc. Position is involved in OSHA training and other compliance requirements, as well as life-safety systems and procedures. Responsibilities: - Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and facilities - Respond to maintenance requests from staff and tenants in a timely manner - Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems - Conduct inspections to identify potential maintenance needs - Keep accurate records of maintenance activities Skills: - Strong customer service skills to interact with staff and tenants - Proficiency in using computer programs - Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems - Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose maintenance issues - Painting and dry wall repair a plus Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Qualifications Must have previous Engineering management experience in large, upscale, full-service hotel. Must have advanced working knowledge of all aspects of hotel maintenance. Strong technical skills in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, etc. Familiar with chillers, cooling towers, chemical treatments, pneumatics, control systems, water systems, boilers, refrigeration, compressors, etc. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in a relevant field is a plus Proven experience in preventive maintenance or a similar role Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively Good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects Compensation Range The compensation for this position is $19.00/Yr. - $19.00/Yr. based on qualifications and experience.
