MISSION / SUMMARY:
Responsible for providing leadership, guidance, direction and management for the maintenance department during the various shift operations. Ensures safety, quality and customer satisfaction goals are met. Initiates and supports all processes and ensures compliance. Minimal supervision required.
JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include, but are not limited to, the following.
Utilize SAP to review work orders and determine the material and parts required to complete the repair or installation. Prioritize and dispense work orders for completion. Audit work order completion Order and manage all repair, preventative, and predictive maintenance efforts. Insure that all production equipment is in top operating condition or create plans to address potential problems in the near term. Identify activities and opportunities that improve the manufacturing processes and controls costs throughout the department. Provide direct supervision to Maintenance crew including scheduling, performance and conduct. Insure that all building code, OSHA, and environmental requirements are met. Interact with property insurers and contractors to see the facility is properly protected and cared for. Lead department’s safety training initiatives and insure prompt resolution of facility safety work orders. Report to person of authority to record any potentially unsafe conditions which may result in unsafe foods or noncompliance to SQF related procedures. Participate in SQF Root Cause and Corrective Actions (from customer complaints, SQF audits, validation, and verification activities) as required. Hold daily crew meetings with assigned crews. Identify and recommend training needs as required. Support Plant sanitation activities. Performs other duties as assigned by the Reliability Engineering Manager.
EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS:
A bachelors or technical degree and/or 4-5 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing operation. Maintenance experience: knowledge of electrical (277/480VAC, 120/208VAC, 12-24VDC), PLCs, mechanical (pumps, blowers, chillers, oil conditioners), power transmission systems, building services, rotary equipment. Excellent written and verbal communications skills Ability to manage multiple projects, resources and people and set and meet target deadlines. Ability to develop improvements, achieve budget/cost constraints. Direct supervisory experience preferred. Proficient with Microsoft Office, Outlook and internet. Proficient with SAP systems. Individual must be adept at analyzing and recommending solutions to a variety of mechanical, electrical, and employee problems at any time of the day or night. Solid Budgeting and negotiating skills Project Management experience Leader with exceptional communication skills, good organization and the ability to communicate will all levels of the organization
SCHEDULE DEMANDS:
General schedule is an 8-hour M-F assignment, however, employee must be willing to work alternate schedule; that may include early mornings, nights, and/or weekends and be punctual while doing so. Occasional overnight travel to include flying, driving, or riding.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to lift up to 40lbs at a time. Ability to move around the plant to direct resources. Ability to climb ladders and stairs as needed. Ability to stand for long periods of time Sitting or standing for extended periods of time up to 8-hours. Occasional bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling and twisting required Simple and power grasping with both right and left hands is required Occasional Lifting up to 25 lbs. Reading computer screen or other electronic devices. Use of various office hand and electrical tools or equipment.
Pay Range: $69,540.00 - $92,720.00
