Maintenance Supervisor

What you will do:

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for providing maintenance supervision, predictive, preventive, and emergency maintenance services to production, utility operations and infrastructure systems as necessary to provide for safe operations, regulatory compliance and equipment availability related to electrical and mechanical systems plant wide.

 

Assist in the development of the maintenance group/organization and related guidelines, processes, and procedures. Supervise, coach, mentor and provide training to EI&C and mechanical maintenance technicians. Support best practices between production areas. Represent WACKER’s interests towards authorities, suppliers, and contractors. Maintain preventive maintenance and predictive maintenance program. Provide maintenance and troubleshooting support to production units, utility, and infrastructure systems. Supervise 3rd party maintenance service providers. Support continuous improvement activities related to safety, quality, and cost. Compile and provide reports related to area of responsibility. Provide start-up support to production operations. Cooperate with groups and individuals within the engineering and maintenance department, operations, and other service units with focus on achieving optimal results/solutions from a corporate/enterprise perspective. Schedule of monthly inspections and preventive maintenance, ensuring the schedule is completed or alternative arrangements are made. 

 

What we need from you:

Associate degree (or higher level education) in the field of electrical/mechanical engineering or electrical instrumentation & controls related field or equivalent vocational/technical training (Journeymen, NiMS, NCCR, etc.); BS electrical/mechanical engineering technology related field preferred 5 years of leadership experience with directing and oversite of a maintenance team. 10+ years combined professional experience in the field of electrical/mechanical engineering or electrical instrumentation and controls and supervision. Read, understand, and apply the contents of all OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, NEC and other codes or regulations pertaining to our industry. Ability to troubleshoot complex instrumentation and control systems and PLC. Familiar with Delta V / Siemens control systems Thorough technical knowledge in the field of electrical/mechanical engineering and/or EI&C , including relevant regulations, standards and codes Ability to read and comprehend electrical/mechanical and control drawings and schematics. Ability to read and understand P&IDs Thorough understanding of engineering principles and maintenance practices Ability to perform and succeed in an environment of schedule and cost pressure. Willingness to work weekends and rotating shifts. Strong verbal and written communication skills Capability to professionally deal with changing priorities and requirements. Leaderships skills combined with team player attitude.
