Job Description
As a Maintenance Lead, you will ensure the efficient and safe operation of equipment and systems within the facility. You will lead maintenance activities, conduct preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, PLC, robotics, and pneumatic systems. You will also mentor and train team members while promoting a safe work environment and upholding company values.
ResponsibilitiesFollow all safety policies and procedures in compliance with company and OSHA regulations to prevent injuries.Complete assignments efficiently, ensuring adherence to safety standards, company policies, and Lean principles.Independently perform and lead complex equipment/system maintenance and modifications (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, PLC, robotics, pneumatics).Troubleshoot and diagnose complex equipment malfunctions, implementing corrective and preventive actions.Provide technical analysis of equipment and processes to recommend improvements in productivity, quality, and cost savings.Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs, and prepare technical reports documenting modifications and procedures.Lead and develop AM/PM training programs for standards, procedures, equipment operation, and troubleshooting.Mentor and train Operators and Maintenance Technicians, fostering skill development and team collaboration.Manage individual and team projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and adherence to policies.Evaluate and recommend equipment improvements to enhance availability, capability, and yield.Develop, document, and maintain maintenance records, including requisitioning parts/tools and managing inventory.Collaborate with Engineering to plan and implement equipment installations or rearrangements.Demonstrate mechanical aptitude, including the ability to read blueprints and schematics.Apply strong problem-solving, organizational, and planning skills to meet maintenance and project objectives.Communicate effectively within cross-functional teams and adapt to changing priorities and circumstances.Promote a safe work environment and uphold the company's Mission & Core Values.Continuously improve technical and leadership skills, staying open to feedback and growth opportunities.Essential SkillsTroubleshootingMaintenance technicianIndustrial maintenance experienceExperience with conveyors and hydraulicsPreventive maintenanceElectricalMechanicalHydraulicsPneumaticsMaintenance managementRepairMaintenance supervisionPLC troubleshootingAdditional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree or technical certifications preferredMust be able to read, write, and speak English5+ years of relevant training in two or more maintenance trades, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, PLC controls, robotics, and pneumaticsPrevious experience in training and/or leading others requiredKnowledge of spreadsheet or database software preferredExperience with a CMMSExperience in a bedding manufacturing environment and/or familiarity with sewing equipment is a plusWhy Work Here?

Work Environment
You will work as part of a team of 6 members with some overtime. The role requires standing and walking for a minimum of 8 hours per day, with the potential for extended hours. You will lift heavy products or raw materials up to 120 pounds multiple times per hour during an 8-hour shift or longer, with heavy loads requiring team lifting. The work environment is a fast-paced manufacturing plant focused on Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement. You will be exposed to high noise levels, hot raw materials, fire-retardant materials, and limited chemicals. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required for any hazards and is provided by the company. Maintaining a clean and safe work area at all times is essential.

This is a Contract position based out of West Palm Beach, Florida.
