We are looking for a motivated Maintenance Supervisor to join our team

This is a full-time position with benefits that you can enroll in which includes -  Health, Dental, Vision, Short and Long Term Disability, 401k, 11 Paid Holidays, PTO, and Paid Sick Leave.  The salary range for this position is $100K to $120K.

Maintenance Supervisor Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with a strong background in maintenance operations. As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance team, ensuring the safe, efficient, and effective execution of tasks, and contributing to the overall reliability and efficiency of NASA’s facilities.

Maintenance Supervisor Job Duties

Team Leadership\:

         Provide leadership and guidance to the maintenance team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.          Directly supervise Union maintenance staff, ensuring adherence to safety guidelines and efficient completion of tasks.

Planning and Scheduling\:

         Support the maintenance team in planning of complex preventive maintenance activities and corrective maintenance work.          Partner with the work control department to establish weekly maintenance schedules.  Ensure scheduled work is planned and resourced appropriately.          Ensure scheduled work is completed on time and be accountable for weekly schedule compliance performance.

Troubleshooting\:

        Assign and monitor troubleshooting on equipment, systems, and facilities, and support and the maintenance staff with coordination of repairs or replacements as   needed to minimize downtime.

Budget Management\:

         Collaborate with management to develop and manage the maintenance budget.          Optimize resource utilization and identify cost-effective solutions.

Record Keeping\:

         Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including worklog entries, inspections, and equipment performance.          Generate reports and analyses as required.

Training and Development\:

         Identify training needs for the maintenance team and provide ongoing development opportunities.          Ensure team members stay current with industry best practices.

Communication\:

         Effectively communicate with other management, staff, and customers to relay maintenance updates, issues, and recommendations.          Foster open communication channels within the maintenance team.

Continuous Improvement\:

         Identify opportunities for process improvements within the maintenance department.          Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. *

10 years of proven experience in building maintenance and team supervision. Technical background in maintenance, engineering, or related field, and familiarity with building trades including electrical, plumbing, alarms, and general maintenance. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices. Strong leadership and customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills to influence and drive results through others. Ability to manage time and work effectively under pressure and with tight deadlines. Self-motivated and results oriented, with strong attention to detail.

         Special clothing/equipment (wearing)\: Safety boots and proper PPE when conducting field work.          Lifting\: 5%          Climbing\: 10%          Crawling\: 10%          High noise levels\: 10% 

Description of Work Environment

        Work Environment\: 60% office work; 40% field work          Minimal exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures.          Hazardous conditions include hazards associated with maintenance and construction sites. 

Equipment and Machines Involved in Work Tasks 

        Regular use of office equipment and radio.          Regular use of vehicles to travel around the campus.          Limited use of basic hand tools. 

Criticality of Attendance 

        Work Schedule\: Regular work hours (Monday – Friday) with infrequent weekend work.         Regular and reliable attendance required.         Occasional travel required. *
