Maintenance Supervisor
**Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor (3rd Shift)** **Job Description** The 3rd shift maintenance supervisor will oversee a team of multi-craft maintenance technicians during the night shift. This role involves scheduling and overseeing preventive maintenance, performing mechanical and electrical repairs, and training and developing the technicians. You will work on various equipment, including palletizers, automated packaging lines, 3-phase motors/480V, bottling/filling machines, boilers, PLCs, HVAC systems, pumps, VFDs, and hydraulics/pneumatics. **Responsibilities** + Perform mechanical work including valve replacement, conveyor bearing and chain replacement, motor/gearbox replacement, and lubrication systems. + Read and comprehend electrical schematics to install, troubleshoot, conduct preventative maintenance, and perform repairs to facilities and production equipment up to 480 Volts, 3-Phase. + Troubleshoot and re-wire high-speed equipment such as AC/DC motors, VFDs, PLCs, PLC I/O modules, and servo motors. + Work with electrical control systems, safety circuits, and automation components such as inductive proximity sensors, photo eye sensors, and mechanical limit switches. + Work off shifts and overtime as necessary. + Possess knowledge of boiler systems and ammonia refrigeration. + Adhere to safety policies and procedures, including lock out/tag out and high voltage electrical. + Use hand and power tools effectively. + Provide individual performance evaluations, focusing on recognition and identification of improvement/growth opportunities. + Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality. + Conduct training and safety training meetings as required. + Maintain facilities to meet GMP and SQF standards. + Lead and support continuous development of SOP documentation and use. + Regularly inspect work areas and equipment to ensure OSHA standards are met. **Essential Skills** + 3+ years of maintenance lead or supervision experience in an industrial setting. + Ability to troubleshoot PLCs and industrial electrical systems. + Strong leadership skills. + Ability to train and develop a team. + High school diploma. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Associates degree in industrial maintenance. + Experience in the food industry. + Knowledge of safety policies and procedures. **Why Work Here?** Uniforms and boots provided. Enjoy a cleaner facility in food/beverage manufacturing. **Work Environment** Our facility is a highly automated milk distribution and beverage production plant, serving the entire state of Michigan. It includes conveyors, palletizers, packaging equipment, large mixing silos, gauges, condensers, and other beverage production equipment. As an FDA facility, it operates under strict standards. The 3rd shift runs from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, Monday-Friday, with some weekends as needed. Flexibility is required as technicians work 12-hour shifts. **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of Battle Creek, Michigan. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $90000.00 Prairie Farms will have a full benefits package.
