JOB SUMMARY

Oversees the mechanical maintenance functions involving manufacturing equipment, refrigeration, wastewater and utilities.  Coaches, mentors and ensures accountability of employees.  Ensures all Maintenance and repair work is properly performed in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner. Directs the effort of affected Maintenance employees to ensure quality and workmanship while maximizing the effectiveness of their efforts.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES 

The following are essential job accountabilities:

1.         Maintain confidentiality in all areas pertaining to work and employees. 

2.         Accountable for scheduling of department work orders and follow-up on work completed.

3.         Strong Mechanical and Electrical equipment troubleshooting skills

4.         Promote and lead Line Centric defect handling and Coach Line Centric Teams.

5.         Compliance with all regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with safety, quality and environmental regulations.

6.         Optimization of preventive/ predictive Maintenance program and continuous improvement

7.         Coach, Mentor and train department employees in the continuing efforts to develop maintenance tech skills.

8.         Maintain personal skill level consistent with changes within the company.

9.         Positive interaction and communication with other departments within the company. 

10.      Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Minimum Education:                    

High school diploma & Technical training

Preferred Education: 

Associate Degree in a related technical field and formal supervisory education.

Minimum Experience:  

5 years in the maintenance field.

Preferred Experience: 

Ten years in the maintenance field with 2 years in a supervisory role.

Minimum Field of Expertise:

Personal experience with Industrial electricity and knowledgeable in the following areas: Ammonia refrigeration, TIG welding, general mechanical, basic hydraulics, pneumatics, packaging machinery, HVAC service, plumbing, industrial safety, wastewater treatment.
