Salary, based on experience and other qualifications: $73,000 - $124,000 annually with additional bonus potential
Overview:
Maintenance Supervisor coordinates the installation, repair and maintenance of facilities and machinery. Will work with technicians and other maintenance employees. Job is to organize and monitor or supervise the maintenance operations of a facility. Maintenance Supervisor also provide technical assistance to department Managers and Maintenance Manager. Ensure Maintenance Technicians and Leads follow all maintenance and safety standards while performing their responsibilities in an organization.
Responsibilities:
Prepare maintenance schedules in line with the organization’s maintenance goals and monitoring PM compliance (SAP recordkeeping will come in to play).
Frequently inspect facilities to proactively detect potential problems and recommend the necessary repair or maintenance
Provide support and advice during staff recruitment and ensure the proper onboarding and training process.
Oversee and enforce good record-keeping practices (be it pen and paper or through electronic system).
Oversee 4 Maintenance Leads and 13 Technicians, with the support of the Maintenance Manager.
Generate work orders, enter comprehensive job details, and assign work to qualified team members.
Occasionally inspect the quality of performed maintenance work.
Communicate policies, procedures, and any updates to maintenance staff.
Check that every single job is executed on time, to the budget, and without compromising building users’ safety.
Work closely with vendors, outsourced service providers, and contractors to protect the interests of the facility.
Keep an eye on materials and spare parts inventory.
Help with the development of maintenance procedures and proactive maintenance programs like preventative maintenance.
Recommend budget items, contributing to the development of an annual maintenance budget.
Recommend upgrades, overhauls, and other changes to major systems and equipment.
Manages the site lubrication strategy.
Actively participate in projects (e.g. remodeling or renovation).
Actively discuss staff-related challenges with senior management.
Help out with day-to-day equipment maintenance work when needed.
Check that the premises are safe and not in violation of any regulations.
Communicate directly with building occupants to resolve service requests.

Knowledge Training and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree Preferred High School Diploma or GED required
At least 8 years of maintenance manufacturing experience preferred, food manufacturing preferred
Working knowledge of production equipment and systems
Working knowledge of food safety and food quality standards and regulations such as SQF or BRC and environmental and safety regulations preferred
Competency in English language (read, write, speak); excellent written, oral, and listening skills.
Requires basic mathematical skills to be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide combined with analytical skills used to track and trend data and be able to use that data to guide decisions and communications with associates
Proficient use of Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Ability to facilitate cross-functional teams
Ability to effectively present information to top management
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Strong knowledge of building trades, cleaning procedures and maintenance.
Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and practices.
Effective budgeting and performance management.
Great eye for detail.
Great time management skills.
Working environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.
