Maintenance Supervisor
$2,000.00 Bonus = $1,000 after 90 days and $1,000 after 1 year Position Overview The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all production and warehouse assets, including facilities, are in their best condition to achieve the company goals. Best condition means completely operational using company resources according to budget and business needs, including equipment installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair for manufacturing and distribution. Work will be performed safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively. Essential Job Functions (required duties and responsibilities) To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. + Leads a team of technicians with the installation, maintenance, and repairs of facility equipment and systems, as well as maintaining buildings and grounds, following all OSHA safety and SOP regulations and procedures, including the Mustad Performance System (MPS). + Provides guidance for skills development like training, coaching, etc. including feedback. Also provides feedback for process improvement and problem resolution. Conducts performance reviews and skill matrix reviews. + Responsible for planned and preventive maintenance of all assets in the company under the CMMS system and maintains proper inventory levels of parts and supplies to minimize downtime. Provides documentation as needed, including data entry into CMMS software. + Leads the improvements of the maintenance area through the lean concepts and MPS (PM) to achieve company goals and may solicit bids for outside contract work, schedules, and supervise outside contractors. + Assist with the preparation of maintenance operating budgets in accordance with production objectives for the year and be responsible for the execution of budget maintenance. + Ensure all hazardous materials are properly labeled, stored, and handled properly and that all Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are maintained and updated for facilities as required. + Performs other duties as requested by management. Education, Experience, and Skills Requirements · Certification or formal education in electrical, mechanical, PLC, robotics, or a related field from an accredited institution. · 10 years of general maintenance experience, including troubleshooting and correcting problems with electrical, hydraulic, eccentric presses, PLCs, servo motors, pumps, electrical motors, control circuits, and power supply, may be considered in lieu of formal training. · 5 years in leading teams with the ability to develop and maintain strong team dynamics and a high level of cooperation across all levels of the organization · Continuous improvement mindset with a strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools and principles · Computer proficiency, including the MS Office platform, familiarity with an ERP system, CMMS software, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics. · Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to read, write, and speak English. Desirable Skills/Attributes (preferred but not required) · Bachelor’s or associate degree in electrical, mechanical, or related field · Skilled in Programmable Logic Control (PLC) and Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs) · Ability to troubleshoot basic input/output functions · Demonstrated proficiency with robotic operation/maintenance Physical Demands · Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting at a computer · Ability to frequently stoop, kneel, bend, balance, reach above shoulders, and crouch · Ability for frequent use of hands to feel, handle, touch, or manipulate · Specific vision requirements for this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. · Frequently lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift/move up to 75 pounds. Work Environment · Factory setting: exposure to heat, humidity, dust fumes, gases, toxic/caustic chemicals, airborne particles, significantly loud noise, and heights · Exposure to moving mechanical parts on lines, as well as moving equipment throughout the factory · Mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), which the company provides Additional Information Essential job functions and education, experience, and skills sections are representative of the minimum levels of education, experience, and skills required to perform the vital duties of this position.
