What You Will Do:

Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to serve as a member of our F135 Field Team supporting the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter operations at Patuxent River Naval Air Station.

Primary Responsibilities:

Responsible for supervising a group of hourly mechanics and bond room/ tool crib personnel in the P&W Jet Engine Shop.Coordinate F135 propulsion system maintenance support activities in the P&W engine shop and flight line operating areas.Provide leadership and direction with emphasis on team building through daily toolbox meetings, effective communications, and in developing an efficient team that is responsive to production requirements and change.Demonstrate consistency as a leader and improve key working relationships within and across the organization. - Work closely with P&W Field Services to resolve technical and logistical problems involving F135 engine operation and maintenance.Ensure maintenance activities are performed IAW P&W Quality Policies, technical data, and safe engine operation practices.Support Government Property Management processes.Ensure World Class safety culture is maintained and respond to all EH&S requirements promptly.Ensure Ethics and Compliance requirements are met. Actively support CORE initiatives and ensure employee safety by complying with and supporting EH&S activities.Use initiative and judgment to identify problems, conduct investigations to determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.While this is a 2nd shift position (2:00 – 10:30 p.m.), must be willing to work any shift.Work with HR on personnel issues

Qualifications You Must Have:

Bachelors of Science degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics)8 years of experience in aviation maintenance is required with a Bachelor’s degree and 5 years with an advanced degreeMust be flexible to work 1st shift as needed.US Citizenship required due to government contracts.

Qualifications We Prefer:

Must be able to show a demonstrated record of maintaining good logistic controls, emotional intelligence, and teaming abilities.Must be able to prioritize tasks and plan maintenance workload effectively.Strong familiarity with CORE tools and processes preferredExperience working with Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Access) and/or SAP

Military Engines Engineering (MEE)

MEE consists of Program Chief Engineers who provide leadership and support for Military Engine programs, including Fighters (F100, F119), Mobility (F117, PW4062 for KC-46 Tanker), TF-33, F135, Military Development Programs, and APU’s as well as the Engine Life Management Team

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
