Job Description
We are seeking a Maintenance Supervisor who will supervise and work with union skilled trades to maintain and repair equipment in an automotive manufacturing environment. This role involves resolving conveyor issues, running maintenance projects, and improving equipment downtime.
ResponsibilitiesCoach Safety, Quality, and Productivity to ensure objectives are met through following standardized work.Lead skilled trades/maintenance personnel to evaluate controls requirements for maintaining and improving production efficiency, output, and uptime.Supervise preventive maintenance schedules, inspections, and repairs to minimize downtime.Coordinate and schedule manpower and materials to meet maintenance requirements and minimize downtime.Monitor day-to-day production processes, tooling, and operations related to automation equipment.Analyze equipment performance and work to improve efficiency.Coordinate equipment refurbishment.Determine and correct root cause of controls-related downtime issues and get them fixed in a timely manner.Essential SkillsFundamental working knowledge of PLC logic and controls, ideally RS Logic.Ability to work any shift, including rotating shifts and weekends (rotates every 4 months).Experience in production supervision, continuous improvement, and preventive maintenance.Knowledge of UAW, hydraulics, maintenance supervision, and pneumatics.Automotive or similar manufacturing experience.3+ years of maintenance supervisory experience.Experience with PLC/robotics, RS Logic or PLC5.Experience with conveyor repair/maintenance, overhead.Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word/Excel).Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience working with unionized labor forces is helpful.Exposure to work assignments for trades such as Millwrights, Pipefitters, Electricians, and Welders.Familiarity with Carpenter All Arounds, Painters, Tinsmiths, and Toolmakers is beneficial.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $38.00/hr.
