Zion Lodge is in National Register of Historic Places designed in 1924 by Gilbert Stanley Underwood in the National Park Service rustic style. The Zion Lodge is a year-round operation with 76 hotels rooms, 6 suites and 40 cabins as well as a restaurant, outside grab and go café, bar, gift shop and auditorium space. In the year 2025 a coffee and wine bar will be opening.
Zion Lodge is a welcoming, safe, and environmentally responsible resort providing accommodations and services inside Zion National Park. Over the next few years, the resort will undergo upgrades to rejuvenate accommodations and dining for public enjoyment. Renewable energy projects and energy efficiency upgrades will also be completed as well as other Sustainability innovations. POWDR operates Zion Lodge under a long-term concession contract with the National Park Service.
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Supervisor - AM is responsible for overseeing the morning daily operations of the maintenance team, ensuring the facility and grounds are well-maintained and operating efficiently. This position involves managing maintenance staff, coordinating maintenance activities, and maintaining a safe and effective work environment. The Maintenance Supervisor reports directly to the Maintenance Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance operations, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to high-quality standards.
Lead, train, and evaluate maintenance staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
Develop and implement maintenance schedules and preventive maintenance programs for all facilities and equipment.
Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inventory, and equipment usage.
Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to develop budgets and manage resources effectively.
Ensure all maintenance tasks are performed in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Foster a positive and productive work environment, encouraging teamwork and communication among staff.

Work Location:
Due to the in-person nature of the hospitality business, housing will be provided on-site and commuting from the local vicinity is also acceptable.
Due to the nature of our business, Zion Lodge is open every day. You must be prepared to work a schedule which may include Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.

Previous experience in a maintenance supervisory role or equivalent is preferred.
Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance procedures, and safety regulations.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Proficient in the use of maintenance management software and Microsoft Office applications.
A valid driver's license is required.
