MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR-FACILITY OPERATIONS -BH-FT-VARIES

Responsible for ensuring the staff of the Facilities Department are efficient and productive in completing assigned projects and duties and in compliance with Resort standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

Ensure adherence to, standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and policies and procedures. Monitors all engineering and maintenance activities on property, to ensure that all applicable laws, rules, regulations and controls are adhered to and enforced. Set staffing levels and adjust schedules as needed to accommodate fluctuations in maintenance demand. Follow up on all preventative maintenance procedures, make sure assigned tasks are complete Maintains open lines of communication with departments to ensure projects and work is being completed. Review work orders and assign work to be completed Conduct walk-through of buildings and facilities to ensure proper maintenance levels are provided. Ensures a maximum level of service and satisfaction is achieved and maintained. Ensures compliance with all OSHA and Company safety requirements. Maintains the highest degree of confidentiality. Leads by setting a positive example to all associates. Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:    

 

Directly supervises the daily activities of all Facilities associates on assigned shift. 

 

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training Associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining Associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

AGE and GAMING:

21 years of age or above

Gaming property – Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Choctaw Gaming Commission.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or GED required.  Five (5) years’ experience in facility maintenance field or construction field with emphasis on the architectural, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical trades.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Must possess a valid Driver’s License and good driving record – one or less moving violation within a 12 month period.  Experience in the development or performance of preventative maintenance programs is required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other associates of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.  Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions.  Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

  

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job

 

Essential duties for this position include but not limited to the following: able to work within a variety of climates and outdoors under extreme conditions.  Safely lift and/or move up to ninety (90) pounds on occasions as well as to stand and talk for periods in excess of 4 hours.  Repetitive bending, kneeling, stooping, pushing and pulling will be required throughout shift.  Exposed to hazardous chemicals.  Use of personal Protective Equipment such as masks, gloves, shoes, etc, may be required at times.  May require working out of doors in inclement weather, and extreme hot or cold conditions.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. 

 

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.  When on the casino floor, the noise level increases to loud.  When on the casino floor or other designated areas may be subjected to tobacco smoke. 

 

Due to the unpredictable nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, Associates must be able to work varying-schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
