Maintenance Supervisor - FT, Days, UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital, UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital United Health Services is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor - FT, Days, UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital to join our Plant Operations 03 department at UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital in Norwich, NY. This position is benefits eligible. Shift All Shifts Hours per week: 40 Salary range: $25.74 - $38.61 per hour, depending on experience. Overview The Maintenance Supervisor will supervise subordinate staff in a variety of complex maintenance and plant operating duties for the Hospital’s Facilities Department, and is assigned to work for the Director of Facilities. The Maintenance Supervisor is guided, trained, and proficient in the skilled knowledge of a chosen building trade, to include but not limited to, Carpentry and Painting, HVAC and Fire Alarm Controls, Electrical Systems, Plumbing Systems, or Mechanical (HVAC and Boiler) Systems. The Maintenance Supervisor will manage and supervise staff equitably and uniformly, to ensure a patient and employee safe environment of care. This position will work alone for administrative duties or in a team environment for monitoring plant operations and maintenance and construction projects. Qualifications Education/Experience + Minimum Required: + High School Diploma or GED + Two (2) years of Trade School OR Journeyman License + Eight (8) years of job-related experience OR Three (3) years in a management and/or lead/supervisor position over Maintenance staffing a similar sized institution, in a hospital engineering or maintenance occupation. + Preferred: + Four (4) year degree in a related field + Four (4) years experience in commercial construction estimating and budgeting, or project management. License/Certification + Minimum Required: + Valid Driver’s License. + Journeyman License (in lieu of trade school, as referenced above). + Preferred: + Master’s License In lieu of the above minimum requirements, an equivalent combination of experience and certification that fall within the limits of minimum requirements and preferred will be considered.
