Job Summary:
The Maintenance Supervisor assists the Director of Facilities with the coordination and scheduling of work/repairs on behalf of the Facilities department, including janitorial service, sub-contractors, and outside service providers. Assist in overseeing the maintenance requests for Goodwill’s premises, facilities, and equipment ensuring that all is maintained, safe, secure, orderly, and in the highest degree of cleanliness. This includes off-site facilities and equipment throughout Northeast Florida. Must be available for calls on Saturdays and Sundays. May be required to work outside of normal operating hours and scheduled on an on-call basis.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education
High School or GED required.
Experience
Two to three years prior maintenance/construction industry or maintenance supervisory experience required.
Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration
Florida driver’s license required with a clean MVR
Ability to perform basic electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems maintenance is required.
Knowledge in building codes and safety regulations is preferred.
Other
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions; ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing; ability to work with co-workers and the public.
Basic understanding/skill with operating a variety of hand tools and equipment common to the building trades and/or HVAC filtration systems, etc.
Must adhere to all safety standards and established work practices. Should be well organized and able to adjust to changing job
requirements.

Duties include but are not limited to :
Develops and maintains a good working rapport with inter-department personnel, and other departments within Goodwill, to assure that proper maintenance can be scheduled and performed to meet the needs of the organization.
Ensures that all the equipment and machinery is properly maintained for customer, employee and program participant use, comfort, and convenience.
Monitors the work of outside vendors to ensure compliance with Goodwill’s established safety procedures.
Ensures that outside services are properly completed in accordance with contracts and work orders.
Performs administrative requirements such as completing necessary forms, reports, etc., and submits to proper personnel.
Records departmental work assignments.
Completes maintenance assignments as assigned during on-call hours.
Maintain the long-term housing unit.
