Position Summary The Maintenance Supervisor directs, supervises, and coordinates maintenance activities in their assigned area to ensure that equipment, buildings, and systems operate efficiently while meeting the overall facility objectives. Responsibilities Schedule and supervises internal maintenance crafts people or outside contractors in the execution of preventive, predictive, corrective, project and breakdown maintenance Analyze equipment failures and assures appropriate “permanent fix” is put in place Utilize judgment to determine priorities for maintenance work requests and works with requestor's and area managers to assure work is planned appropriately Identify, prioritize and help coordinate or deliver maintenance training in their area of responsibility Provide troubleshooting assistance to the maintenance skilled trades when needed Audit maintenance work to ensure good practices are being maintained and standards are achieved Review area maintenance costs and controls them within budget allowance and improving costs in their area in accordance with the MCIP program Conduct maintenance employee appraisals and addresses maintenance performance issues Supervise between 20-30 hourly or NE maintenance personnel Candidate controls an area maintenance budget of $500K-$2.0M and have an effect on property valued at approximately $10M -$15M Works closely with Operations Supervisor and other Maintenance Supervisors Receive significant direction and training from Maintenance Manager and/or Senior Maintenance Supervisor Require contact with internal plant personnel and functional departments, counterparts at other Energizer facilities as well as arranging for and supervising outside contractors What we are looking for 2-year technical degree OR 2-4 years of suitable level of maintenance leadership in a manufacturing environment 2+ years’ experience working in a manufacturing/industrial setting Knowledge and experience with: Pneumatic valves, hydraulic systems, motors and control systems, and various sensing devices Ability to work night shift/off shift support What we prefer Bachelor degree in Engineering discipline Experience in SAP Come join us!
