To learn more, please see https://www.cengagegroup.com/about/inclusion-and-diversity/ Maintain the CLDC facility in a clean and safe manner for all scheduled shifts. **Essential Functions:** + Empty gay lords and gurneys + Sweep and clean floors + Stacking pallets + Cleaning areas outside of the facility + Loading the recycling trailer + Assisting with the needs of the cafeteria + Assist with battery changing operations + Support maintenance mechanics and technicians as needed + Able to operate powered equipment, included floor scrubber + Provide weekly reports of activities, projects and completed assignments + Able to work in a team environment + Ability to work overtime and weekends if necessary + Able to safety lift 50 or more pounds + Must be able to stand/walk for 8 to 10 hours + Must be able to bend/twist/kneel/crawl without difficulty + Excellent attendance. **Qualifications:** + Demonstrated computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel and Internet + Strong safety skills + Able to perform all essential functions of Maintenance Support I **Additional Skills/Requirements:** + High school diploma or GED, 1-3 months of related experience/training or combination. + Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively speak in one on one and small group situations with other employees, customers and clients of the organization. + Minimum Skills: Ability to add and subtract tow digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance. + Minimum Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions.
