Ford and SK On are investing billions in Kentucky and Tennessee including building three state-of-the art battery manufacturing facilities between the two campuses at BlueOval City in Tennessee and BlueOval SK Battery Park in Kentucky. These brand-new advanced manufacturing facilities will use Ford’s 100-years of automobile manufacturing expertise and SK On’s 30+ years of electric vehicle battery expertise to become the world’s best battery manufacturer.
The Maintenance Team Manager at BlueOval SK Battery Park in Glendale, Kentucky will have a unique, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be a key member of the start-up team, launching the facility from ground up. The BlueOval SK Maintenance Team Manager will lead the maintenance team within the Battery site in Glendale, KY in line with the facility Production System.
Key Responsibilities
This role will be responsible for leading a team of hourly and salaried employees at the facility including, but not limited to:
Ensure site grounds and parking lot maintenance, including landscaping and snow removalSupport preventative maintenance programs for facilitiesComply with master licensing and site permit requirementsImplement and maintain Visual Factory across all site plant engineering equipmentCoordinate safe bulk unloadsEnsure compliance with environmental requirements, including waste management, recycling, and wastewater treatmentComply with combustion safety and arc flash training and reporting requirementsManage mechanical/civil engineering projectsMinimum Qualifications and Key Experiences
Education: High School diploma, some post-secondary (college or skilled trades)1-2 years of Maintenance, operations, and technical experienceTechnical work experience and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment and the ability to interface with plant hourly, salary, and leadership.Preferred Qualifications and Key Experiences
Bachelor’s or Master’s degreeFine (5) years of operations experience in a leadership roleManufacturing experience including automotive (assembly a plus)Six Sigma BlackbeltBackground in Lean ManufacturingExperience with Greenfield / Startup SitesCapabilities Required
