Maintenance Tech
**Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** Provides maintenance support required to sustain continuous operation of packaging and processing equipment. The role involves preventative maintenance for the plant, assisting with breakdowns and other mechanical issues, and performing minor repairs to all plant equipment. **Responsibilities** + Perform preventative maintenance for the plant. + Assist in major overhauls and minor repairs of plant equipment. + Work on 3 phase motors. + Conduct basic cleaning and maintenance of the facilities. + Work on conveyors and belting for different lines. + Operate forklifts and fork trucks when needed. + Change drive belts, timing belts, and other machinery parts. + Change filters and oils in plant equipment. + Change packing/mechanical seals and gaskets in all pumps. + Maintain water chemistry in necessary systems. + Identify and replace bearings and seals as required. + Troubleshoot both AC and DC electrical systems (programming not necessary). + Perform TIG, MIG, and arc welding on carbon and stainless steel. + Repair and replace vari-drives, speed reducers, vacuum pumps, and product pumps. + Troubleshoot a 208V-AC 3 phase electric motor & circuit. + Troubleshoot a DC motor and circuit. + Troubleshoot and follow schematics for control circuits (both 110 AC and DC voltage). + Understand and troubleshoot Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs). + Troubleshoot hardware components of a Programmable Logic Controller (no programming necessary). **Essential Skills** + 2+ years of industrial maintenance/electrical experience. + 2+ years of VFD or PLC experience preferred. + Experience troubleshooting equipment. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Maintenance technical degree preferred. + Preventative maintenance experience. + Experience reading and understanding schematics/electrical diagrams. + Ammonia experience is a plus. + Robotics experience is a plus. **Why Work Here?** We offer advancement opportunities as we need leads on all shifts due to upcoming retirements. We empower our people to share responsibility and think like an owner, with the potential for yearly raises based on performance. **Work Environment** The work environment includes multiple shifts: A shift (overnight) Sun 7pm-7:30am; Mon-Thurs 11pm-7:30am, B Shift (days) Fri-Tues 7am-3:30pm, C Shift (afternoon) Mon-Fri 3pm-11:30pm. May require overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed. Pay shift differences include an additional $1.35/hour for A shift and $1.00/hour for C shift. The facility operates 24/7 with 8 current maintenance techs aiming to expand to 11. It is a food grade facility with a production environment not in a chilled setting (60+ degrees).
