Job Description

Summary

This position will be responsible for conducting both routine and breakdown maintenance in the Aurora plant. These duties will include troubleshooting of plant systems and repair and rebuild of plant components.  Individual should function well with members of the AFB team.  Individual should also be available to work all shifts and be available for overtime as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

Essential duties and responsibilities included, but are not limited to the following.  Ancillary duties may be assigned.

System troubleshooting both mechanical and electrical.Adherence to all safety policies.Preventive maintenance of equipment.Demonstrated working knowledge of rotating equipment and fabrication.Demonstrated ability for pipefitting and fabrication.Demonstrated knowledge of welding.Good interpersonal skills.Desire for continuous learning and improvement.Working knowledge of electrical circuits.Working knowledge of electrical safety codes.Familiar with computer and microprocessors.

Responsible to clean and sanitize any work area and equipment where maintenance has been performed, or in accordance with supervisory instructions, including any Critical Control Points, in accordance with the plant food safety requirements.

Studies and signs off on HACCP training in accordance with the plant food safety requirements. Cleans and Maintains work area in accordance with the Master Cleaning Schedule.

Other duties may be required at the supervisor or management request.

The temperature in the plant varies seasonally and may be hot and humid in the late summer. The employee may be exposed to the weather outside the plant.  The meat room remains at a cold temperature year round. 

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud in the production environment.  PPE requirements apply.
