Your Opportunity as a Maintenance Technician
Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics on production equipment and tools in a just-in-time environment. Perform scheduled, preventative, and emergency maintenance tasks and projects as assigned by the maintenance supervisor or their designee
Location: 2035 N Narragansett Ave, Chicago, IL 60639 (Hostess Manufacturing Plant)
Work Arrangements: 100% on-site, 3rd shift 10pm – 6:30am Flexibility required.
Compensation Base Rate: $27.17/hr - $33.64/hr
In this Role You Will:
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
Prepare and set up machinery for scheduled production runs.
Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test, and make adjustments.
Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
Creating and maintaining compliance documentation
Follow health and safety practices as they apply to area of work and the facility
Perform appropriate housekeeping tasks as needed
Perform other responsibilities and duties assigned by manager
Ensure product manufacturing is running smoothly without significant interruptions.
Work closely with Regulatory Compliance regarding food safety.

What We are Looking For:
Minimum Requirements:
High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
1-3 years of industrial maintenance experience
Ability to trouble shooting equipment to ensure optimum efficiency and product quality
Effective Oral and Written Communication
Personal Computer Skills - Literate with MS Excel, Word.
Additional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role:
Food manufacturing experience highly preferred
Training in electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics
Familiar with combustion systems and boilers
Industrial electricity courses, welding, PLC, pneumatic or other mechanic courses extremely desirable.

This job operates in a manufacturing environment. The noise level in the work environment and manufacturing sites can be loud.
Physical Demands
The employee must have the ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, squat, bend, reach, push, pull, twist, crawl, climb stairs/ladders
Be able to lift to a maximum of 50 pounds.
