The Maintenance Team Member is responsible for the maintenance of the entire Facility. This position requires a high level of attentiveness and the ability to manage multiple activities at once. We are currently hiring for the night shift (6a-6p/6p-6a), this position is on a 2 week rotating schedule for days off.
Work Experience
• Abide by safe work practices for employee’s health and safety.
• Ensure LSDP’s Food Safety and Quality System procedures are adhered to.
• Maintain and repair all production equipment: pumps, pasteurizers, high
pressure pumps, evaporators, dryers, churns, valves, packaging, etc.
• Maintain and repair all support equipment: boiler, air-compressors, chillers,
condensers, vacuum pumps, air conditioning units, sewer meters,
conductivity meters, water meters, etc.
• Must have a working knowledge of and experience in plant maintenance
operations.
• Handling of chemicals for support equipment operation. Chemical testing of
boiler feed water, condensate, cooling tower water, glycol system, plant
process water.
• Daily utilities reading.
• Fabrication and manufacturing of equipment for production needs; product
and process piping, sanitary equipment, steam lines, chemical lines,
pneumatic lines, etc.
• Documentation of all schematic and diagram changes to keep plant record
current.
• Responsible for working with a minimum amount of supervision in all key
areas.
• Responsible for reporting on a daily basis work orders and activity reports.
• Responsible for all work being done in a timely fashion and done properly.
• It is necessary that maintenance mechanics work well with employees
throughout the plant.
• Responsible for care and maintenance of company tools.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
