The Opportunity:
In this role, you will report to the Reliability Engineering Manager and will work closely with the Avantor’s Clinical Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance, repair, and installation activities in a cGMP and PSM manufacturing facility. This role requires proficiency in mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and facilities maintenance tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance, utilities operation, and facility upkeep. The mechanic will also provide technical input for plant improvements and expansions while maintaining compliance with regulatory and safety standards.What we're looking for: Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; trade school certification or engineering education preferred.Experience: Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and instrumentation. Proficiency in utilities, production, and precision manufacturing equipment preferred. Must be able to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends or evenings. Minimum 3+ years of experience in a maintenance or related trade.Location: Paris, KY
Payrate: $31-35/hr, dependent upon experience
Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 7am-3:30pm, rotating on call among team

How you will thrive and create an impact: • Diagnose and repair faults in motors, electrical panels, and circuits, following wiring diagrams and NEC regulations.
• Perform mechanical repairs, instrumentation calibration, and equipment upgrades to improve safety and reliability.
• Perform troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on manufacturing and facility equipment.
• Operate and maintain utility systems, including boilers, HVAC systems, and water treatment facilities.
• Maintain property and facilities, including painting, patching, and assembling furniture.
• Document maintenance activities and update SOPs and PMs to ensure compliance.
• Conduct facility inspections and address plumbing, electrical, and structural issues.
• Support utility system startup, troubleshooting, and routine operations.
• Keep work areas neat, orderly, and compliant with safety standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
