Maintenance Tech I - Weekend Night (D Shift)
Maintenance Technician Shift Schedule: Wednesday through Saturday, 12-hour night shifts Position Summary We are looking for a motivated and entry-level Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have basic knowledge and a keen interest in learning and developing skills in electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and plumbing systems. This role is perfect for individuals with little to no experience who are eager to start a career in maintenance and facilities management. Primary Duties Main Duties + Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and plumbing systems. + Perform basic troubleshooting and repairs under the supervision of experienced technicians. + Support preventive maintenance activities to ensure the longevity and reliability of equipment and systems. + Follow safety protocols and company policies to maintain a safe working environment. + Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs. + Attend training sessions and workshops to develop technical skills and knowledge. + Work collaboratively with other team members to support overall maintenance operations. Safety and Compliance: + Ensure all maintenance activities are conducted in compliance with safety regulations and company policies. + Conduct safety training and enforce safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries. + Stay up-to-date with industry standards, codes, and regulations related to maintenance and Additional Responsibilities: + Prioritize projects and daily requests, assigning them to internal teams or external resources. + Perform other duties as assigned. Training and Education + High school diploma or equivalent. + Basic understanding or interest in electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and plumbing systems. + No prior experience required; on-the-job training will be provided. Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities + Willingness to learn and develop new skills in maintenance and facilities management. + Basic problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. + Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team. + Good communication and organizational skills. + Basic knowledge of tools and equipment used in maintenance work. Working Conditions, Physical Requirements and Supervisory Roles + Ability to remain in stationary position, often standing, for prolonged periods. + Ability to ascend/descend stairs, ladders, ramps, and the like. + Ability to wear PPE correctly most of the day. + Ability to operate heavy machinery. + Ability to adjust or move objects up to 50 pounds in all directions. + Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks. + Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including exposure to heat, cold, and noise.
