Maintenance Tech II
Overview Performs routine repairs and preventive maintenance to ensure building systems operate efficiently. Knowledge of carpentry, painting, drywall and texturing, hazardous chemicals and general and preventive maintenance a plus. Responsibilities ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Accountable for all maintenance and repair of the facility. Repair of plumbing and associated equipment i.e. toilet replacement, snake stopped drains, repair leaks in piping, faucets and drains. Assisting all trades: painters, engineers, electricians, welders, and carpenters. Cleaning of shops, trash, sweeping, picking materials up from job sites, etc. Ability to work efficiently, independently and cohesively, consistently producing quality results. Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: Working rapidly, attention to detail, observing situations. Must be able to remember orders from supervisors. Must be able to read and write for daily paperwork. Making daily decisions. Minimum age requirement is 21. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: GED High School Diploma MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Basic math skills. Language Skills: Must be able to speak and understand English. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Constant eye/hand coordination. Constant wrist motion. Frequent walking up to 1000ft. Constant bending, lifting, pulling, reaching, grasping and pushing. Constant twisting, stooping. Must be in good shape for moving misc. furniture, mechanical parts and stocking tool room. Must be able to lift heavy at all times Frequent fingering. Constant manual dexterity. Frequently lifting up to 80lbs. Occasionally pushing carts up to 50lbs. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions and temperatures at all times. Working well with others and alone. Working on different surfaces including carpeting, concrete and ladders also on uneven surfaces.
