Chewy is actively recruiting for a Maintenance Technician II at our Fulfillment Center in Salisbury, NC. In this position, you will be responsible for maintaining a wide range of facilities, utilities, and operational equipment across the fulfillment center. You'll be taking on everything from preventive maintenance to addressing immediate issues, ensuring the center operates at peak efficiency.

What You'll Do:
Perform a variety of maintenance tasks, including repairs, housekeeping, plumbing, metal fabrication, and carpentry, to support the smooth and efficient operation of our fulfillment center.Ensure all equipment is running efficiently and maintain a safe working environment for all fulfillment Team Members.Complete periodic and scheduled general maintenance tasks throughout the facility.Conduct daily inspections of conveyor systems, shipping areas, and packing equipment to ensure functionality and safety.Maintain responsibility for assigned equipment, minimizing loss, damage, or defects by accurately caring for tools and resources.Record repair orders and track parts usage, ensuring all repairs are accurately detailed.Identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues by visually checking, testing, and evaluating the condition of components, equipment, and circuits.Implement to all company policies and procedures to maintain high operational standards.What you’ll need:
At least 36 months of previous facility maintenance experience (Mechanics and Maintainers, Construction and Engineering, Aviation and Transportation Repair) Must have electrical experience or understanding Must be able to demonstrate electrical knowledge of 24v ac/dc control circuits Must be able to demonstrate electrical knowledge of 120v power & control circuits Must be able to demonstrate electrical knowledge of 277v-480v power circuits Experience using appropriate tools and maintenance equipment. Ability to lift 75 pounds and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently. Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination, and good balance to work at ground level, with the ability to climb and work at elevations up to 35 feet above floor level. Interest in math, electricity, shop mechanics, electric motors, and appliances Good at solving problems Understand potential exposure exists to high voltage current, welding equipment, vehicle and equipment lubricants and solvents. Ability to work nights and weekends. Experience with fire system and fire alarm electronic devices. Ability to read, understand & interpret electrical, pneumatic, & plumbing schematics. Experience with conveyor mechanical systems (belts, drives, tracking valves). Experience with VFD motor controllers
