**Job Posting: Maintenance Technician** **Location:** Columbia, SC **Work Schedule:** Monday – Friday, **8:00 AM – 5:00 PM** _(Lunch: 12:00 PM – 12:30 PM)_ **Pay Rate:** **$18.00 – $19.00 per hour** _(Flexible for highly qualified candidates)_ **Position Overview:** We are seeking a skilled **Maintenance Technician** to ensure the proper upkeep, troubleshooting, and repair of production equipment and facility infrastructure. This role plays a critical part in minimizing downtime, maintaining safety standards, and optimizing the efficiency of manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in **mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry maintenance** within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. **Key Responsibilities:** + Perform **preventive and corrective maintenance** on production equipment to minimize downtime. + Troubleshoot and repair **electrical systems** ranging from **24VDC control circuits to 480VAC 3-phase industrial systems** . + Work closely with supervisors and managers to address **equipment breakdowns** and implement necessary upgrades. + **Prioritize and schedule equipment repairs** , ensuring minimal disruption to production. + Assist with **installation, relocation, and reconstruction** of new and existing equipment. + Maintain **facility infrastructure** , including plumbing, electrical systems, and basic carpentry tasks. + Address **safety concerns** , such as replacing burnt-out lights, maintaining emergency lighting, and ensuring compliance with **lockout/tagout (LOTO), electrical safety, and confined space programs** . + Perform **grounds maintenance** , including light snow and ice removal when necessary. + Maintain **inventory of repair parts and shop supplies** . + Ensure compliance with **safety protocols, quality procedures, and housekeeping standards** . + Maintain **accurate documentation** of maintenance activities and repairs. **Required Qualifications:** + **Minimum of 3 years** of maintenance experience in a **manufacturing environment** . + **High school diploma or equivalent** with coursework in skilled trades or vocational training. + Strong **mechanical aptitude** with the ability to use **mechanical tools, electrical test equipment, and measuring instruments** . + Ability to **read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals** . + Experience with **preventive maintenance programs** and troubleshooting industrial equipment. + Must have **own mechanic’s tools** . + Ability to **lift up to 100 lbs.** _(with assistance for weights over 50 lbs.)_ . **Work Environment:** + Standard **factory environment** with normal noise levels. + Well-lit workspace with structured safety procedures in place. + Frequent interaction with **production teams, engineers, and management** . **Why Join Us?** + **Competitive hourly pay** with flexibility for highly skilled candidates. + **Monday – Friday schedule** with stable work hours. + Opportunity to work with **state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment** in a growing industry. + **Career growth potential** within a well-established company.
