2. JOB PURPOSE

 

The purpose of this role is to maintain equipment reliability to ensure the on-time production of the engine remanufacturing process with a primary focus on quality, safety, and organization of Maintenance Routines.

 

3. ROLE OF THE DEPARTMENT

 

To provide a quality service safely to every manufacturing equipment in a timely manner with minimal to zero disruption to production.

4. ORGANIZATIONAL POSITION

 

This position directly reports to the Plant Manager. You will also work in collaboration with Engineering, Supervisors, and employees to ensure 100% safety, quality, and efficiency compliance.

 

5. EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRMENTS

 

Proven maintenance experience. High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Related degree from a technical college or Journeyman’s Card.

6. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

 

Basic Qualifications and Requirements:

 

·         Skilled in the use of hand, fabrication and power tools.

·         Ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts.

·         Ability to check blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary.

·         Ability to use common tools such as hammers, drills, and wrenches.

·         Experience with precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices.

·         Experience performing routine and preventative maintenance.

·         Strong organizational and follow up skills.

·         Eye for detail.

·         Professional presentation and attitude.

·         Ability to maintain focus while working individually.

·         Strong time management skills.

·         Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.

·         Reading technical diagrams and blueprints.

·         Performing general electrical maintenance.

·         Inspecting transformers, circuit breakers, and other electrical components.

·         Troubleshooting electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.

·         Repairing and replacing equipment, electrical wiring, and fixtures.

·         Following National Electrical Code state and local building regulations.

·         Performing circuit breaker corrective and preventative maintenance.

 

 

Responsibilities:

·         Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment.

·         Performing preventative and predictive maintenance.

·         Handling basic and complex repairs of equipment.

·         Overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary.

·         Diagnosing mechanical/electrical issues, correcting them, then preventing them.

·         Repairing machines, equipment, or structures as necessary.

·         Installation of new equipment and heavy replacement components (rigging).

·         Other duties as assigned.
