The pay range for this position is $25-$32/hr., depending on your role, level and location. GENERAL PURPOSE: Perform general mechanical maintenance of facility and equipment in a timely and courteous manner. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: \u2022 Performs mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance of manufacturing equipment. \u2022 Repairs and maintains facility systems (HVAC, plumbing, compressed air, and humidification). \u2022 Paints and performs minor repairs of building interior and exterior including masonry, wallboard, ceiling tiles, woodwork, etc. \u2022 Uses rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments accurately. \u2022 Performs basic handiwork such as replacing light bulbs, ballasts, water and air filters, and plumbing fixtures, cleaning drains, hanging pictures and bulletin boards, and maintaining proper forklift batteries. \u2022 Prepares and operates machine tools such as grinders, and drill presses to repair or fabricate machine parts and/or fixtures. \u2022 Troubleshoots electric and electronic problems. \u2022 Performs inspections of and tests fire alarms and pumps. \u2022 Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical components. \u2022 Troubleshoots motors, pumps, compressors and any other systems in the plant. \u2022 Performs preventative maintenance. \u2022 Works on call as required. \u2022 Builds custom parts on demand. \u2022 Maintains accurate maintenance records. \u2022 Operates scissors and forklifts. \u2022 Performs other job duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: \u2022 Must have high school diploma or general education degree (G.E.D). \u2022 Must have training/certification in machine-specific and electronics fields. \u2022 Minimum 2 years\u2019 experience in machining. \u2022 Minimum 3 years\u2019 experience in electrical component repair. \u2022 Must be able to properly use rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments. \u2022 Must have a working knowledge of AC/DC motors. \u2022 Must be trained in basic electric and mechanical safety. \u2022 Must have some basic computer experience. 04/2020 \u2022 Must be knowledgeable in the safe use of hand and small power tools. \u2022 Must pass color vision and color hue tests. \u2022 Must be able to work on-call as needed. \u2022 Must have acute troubleshooting skills. \u2022 Must be able to maintain good attendance. \u2022 Must be willing to work overtime as needed. \u2022 Must be able to perform all essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation.
