**Job Title: Technician 1**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a Technician 1 with 1-3 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for following a routine schedule of preventative maintenance on machinery, reading and following parts and instruction manuals, and effectively solving problems and making decisions. A team attitude and the ability to work collaboratively are essential. You will be expected to safely operate and run any power tool in the shop.
**Responsibilities**
+ Follow a routine schedule of preventative maintenance on machinery.
+ Read and follow parts and instruction manuals.
+ Solve problems and make decisions effectively.
+ Work collaboratively with team members.
+ Operate and run any power tool in the shop safely.
+ Perform basic troubleshooting in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic controls, and hydraulic controls.
+ Develop advanced troubleshooting skills for electrical, mechanical, pneumatic controls, and hydraulic controls on the job.
+ Perform fitting and installation tasks, such as air lines, water piping, and electrical conduit.
**Essential Skills**
+ 1-3 years of experience in a related field.
+ Ability to follow a routine schedule of preventative maintenance.
+ Great problem-solving and decision-making skills.
+ Ability to read and follow parts and instruction manuals.
+ Team attitude and ability to work with team members.
+ Safe operation of power tools in the shop.
+ Basic troubleshooting skills in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic controls, and hydraulic controls.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Prefer mechanical and electrical knowledge.
+ Vocational trade school or work experience in the maintenance field.
+ Must be able to work comfortably at heights.
+ Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
+ Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
+ Self-starter who works effectively without close supervision.

**Work Environment**
You must be willing to work weekends and odd hours as required. The job involves prolonged standing, repetitive motions, bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and pulling. You may be required to frequently lift up to 30 lbs. and occasionally up to 75 lbs., as well as push/pull carts. Hand dexterity and strength are essential. Overtime is required, including weekends, sometimes with little or no advance notice. A flexible schedule is necessary, and it is an essential function of this position that you report to work on a regular basis.
SHIFT:
Monday - Friday
1st shift: 5:00AM - 3:00/3:30PM
2nd shift: 4:30PM - 1:30AM (10% differential in pay)
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Culpeper, Virginia.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $25.25 - $25.25/hr.
