This position is responsible for the advanced repair and the assigned preventative maintenance of miscellaneous equipment in a designated department, in order to eliminate down- time and meet yearly performance goals. **Job Duties:** · Perform mechanical trouble shooting and repair with the limited assistance and/or supervision · Design, plan, and fabricate devices and repair broken parts using various pieces of equipment, maintaining a high degree of safety awareness while using methods that are USDA approved · Perform varying degrees of plumbing repairs, maintenance, for installation on all types of systems including steam, water, air and hydraulics · Assist in the installation of new equipment, making modifications when necessary. · Diagnose and insolate electrical trouble utilizing appropriate test equipment with limited assistance and or supervision · Able to work 5 days/week with varied hours/day and days/week as scheduled (Saturday and Sunday work required on an as needed basis) · Able to use hands/ arms repetitively- continuously · Able to work in cold temperatures (25-50 degrees) and damp environment continuously · Improve workforce productivity and work quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning and coordination of labor, parts, and material, tools and equipment, required permits, specialized documentation and equipment access · The planner is responsible for the planning of all non- emergency maintenance work performed in the area to which he/she is assigned · Maintains coordination between the production and maintenance organizations · Maintains records and files to permit meaningful analysis and reporting and results · Train industrial maintenance technicians on plant equipment and reliability procedures. · Conduct audits on processing equipment, assess the operating conditions, and working to build out the downtime on the floor. · Provides input to address equipment obsolescence and replacement, and interface with equipment manufacturers. · Develops and maintains preventative/predictive maintenance tasks. · Performs other tasks and/or projects as assigned. **Minimum Qualifications** ***** Software experience or training: EAMS, Excel, Word, Auto CAD ***** Experience with blueprints, drawings, and instructional manuals: in both comprehension and creation ***** Demonstrated excellent communication and human relations skills: ability to communicate effectively with all levels of Team and agency members ***** Aptitude for detail and multitasking ***** No performance work actions in the last 18 months ***** No attendance work actions in the last 12 months ***** PHYSICAL: No restrictions with working in extreme temperature Benefits · RELOCATION ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE · FREE college tuition for children of employees · Tuition Reimbursement · Personal Leaves (1-2 months) · Medical, Prescription, Dental, Vision Health Plans · Short-Term Disability · Long-Term Disability · 401k (50% on the first 2%) · Employee Stock Purchase Plan · Paid Time Off · Life Insurance Compensation COMPETATIVE WAGES!
