**Maintenance Technician - 2nd & 3rd Shift - $26/hr** **_Call 330 224 1231 to set up an interview!_** **Job Description** We are seeking dedicated and skilled Maintenance Technicians for a 30-day contract to hire position in our steel worker union. After the initial period, there is a 15% buyout opportunity. We have openings for both second and third shifts. **Opening Shift:** + 2nd: 3:00pm - 11:00pm + 3rd: 11:00pm - 7:00am **Responsibilities** + Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and perform repairs in a timely manner. + Inspect machines and report issues to the maintenance supervisor for scheduled repairs. + Perform equipment preventive maintenance (PMs) and work on equipment as instructed. + Complete and return work instruction sheets to supervision. + Respond to safety, production, and general plant maintenance issues promptly. + Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain a safe work area. + Respond to equipment calls, evaluate issues, and make necessary repairs. + Ensure the area is free of combustibles before use and have a fire extinguisher nearby. **Essential Skills** + Mechanical troubleshooting of bearings, hydraulics, and schematics. + Experience with mechanical systems, hydraulics, and repair work. + Ability to read schematics. + 2+ years of industrial experience. + Knowledge of pneumatics and 3-phase/480v systems. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with plumbing, industrial maintenance, and preventive maintenance. + Completion of a schooling program (191 hours) for raises up to $32/hr. + Commitment to stay with the company for benefits such as tuition reimbursement and pension. **Why Work Here?** Join our team and work with the recognized industry leader within the Building and Construction markets. The facility operates 7 days a week, with an average of 48 hours per week for technicians.
