PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Primarily responsible for assisting in the maintenance and repair of various mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and conveying systems/types of industrial equipment for poultry processing plant. Perform preventative and predictive maintenance using blueprints and diagrams to verify that all equipment is operating within required specifications and tolerances. May perform periodic testing and inspections, troubleshooting and repairs. Performs all work in compliance with company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations. Pay starts at $23 per hour along with a $3,000 sign and stay bonus program. RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
Under general supervision, repair and perform preventative maintenance on industrial machinery (i.e. mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, conveying systems, etc) using blueprint and schematic drawings to ensure equipment is performing safely to required specificationsIdentify root cause of basic mechanical issues and performs repairs by welding, fabricating parts, basic pipefitting or replacing defective component; notify appropriate personnel if further attention is requiredIdentify unsafe conditions and corrects; reports to appropriate personnel if unable to correct on ownAssist with maintaining a file of blueprints and operating manuals and procedures as neededWork in compliance with all company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulationsAll other duties as assignedEDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or equivalentPass NOCTI Mechanical/Electrical test, Level 1 requiredEXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Minimum 1 year experience in industrial machine predictive and preventative maintenance or demonstrated applicable mechanical and electrical knowledgeIntermediate math and computer skillsAbility to operate/use basic hand and power toolsAbility to work unsupervised and self-motivateAbility to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hoursSound work ethic, honesty and moral characterSAFETY REQUIREMENTS:
