**Job Title: Maintenance Technician**
**Job Description**
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for completing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs, as well as performing preventative maintenance activities to ensure the efficient operation of building facilities and plant equipment. You will work as part of a team to identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety.
**Responsibilities**
+ Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, or minor repairs on plant equipment using blueprints, test equipment, or manuals.
+ Perform maintenance duties as assigned by the maintenance team leader, completing daily work repairs.
+ Implement mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic improvements by monitoring problems, designing, and completing repairs or improvements.
+ Perform preventative maintenance by following schedules on plant equipment and completing necessary repairs.
+ Operate various testing equipment as required to complete maintenance repairs.
**Essential Skills**
+ 3 years of experience working in an injection molding environment or industry equivalent.
+ Understanding of troubleshooting PLCs.
+ Ability to read machine and equipment schematics.
+ Ability to follow a preventative maintenance schedule.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ 3-7 years of experience in a tool room environment.
+ Experience working in a plastics (injection molding) environment.
+ Fabrication experience with mills, lathes, grinders, and drill presses.
+ Automation maintenance experience.
+ Experience writing preventative maintenance schedules.
+ TMA certificate.

**Work Environment**
You will work in a plastic injection molding and automation environment with excellent ventilation, ensuring no plastics smell. Our tool room and maintenance department are state-of-the-art. The available shifts are flexible, with options including 2nd shift (3pm - 11pm), 3rd shift (11pm - 7:30am), and split shift (7pm - 3am).
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Palatine, Illinois.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $29.00/hr.
