Responsibilities + Responsible for repairs and troubleshooting of production equipment and building systems to maintain facility in peak operating condition. Major systems include, but not limited to; Mechanical Devices, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, HVAC, Fire protection, Electrical Distribution, Electrical Controls, Air Compressors, Conveyors, Plumbing, Nutrunners, Gages, Security, Lube Oil Distribution + Inspection of equipment and assembly processes to prevent damage and/or determine root cause of malfunction or damage to equipment or components. + Perform troubleshooting and repairs using hand tools, power tools, shop equipment, test devices and precision measurement tools. + Reading blueprints, schematics, logic diagrams, maintenance manuals and catalogs to install, troubleshoot and repair equipment. + Troubleshoot, de-bug and program PLC5, SLC500, Micrologic Controllers, Siemans PLCs and Variable Speed Drives. + Performs preventative maintenance tasks as assigned. + Installation and hook-up of equipment, machinery, and devices. + Initiate purchase orders for parts and machines. + Performs related tasks as needed. Qualifications + Effective oral and written communication skills + Effectively work interact with supervisors, production/logistics personnel, and maintenance team members + Basic computer skills to include Microsoft Excel and Word + Math skills to include but not limited to algebra, geometry, and trigonometry + Problem solving skills to include 5-Why and Fishbone diagrams + Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing + Effective knowledge of Predictive and Preventive maintenance principles + Fundamentals of AC/DC electricity + Fundamentals of motors and motor controls + Fundamentals of transformers + Fundamentals of automatic controls + Fundamentals of hydraulics and pneumatics + Fundamentals of industrial mechanics + Fundamentals of machine tool technology + Fundamentals of welding + Ability to perform all aspects of facilities maintenance + Minimum of three years combination of education, training, and experience with minimum of one year maintenance experience in a JIT manufacturing environment Be part of our ZF team as Maintenance Technician- 2nd Shift and apply now!
