Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED equivalency
3 years maintenance experience
Possess advanced troubleshooting skills on production/facility equipment.
This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Complete regulatory PMs as assigned.
Administer IVU and Novar monitoring systems to make adjustments as necessary
Utilize computer and mobile devices to receive and complete Work orders utilizing Maximo.
Painting of interior and exterior walls and piping throughout the facility.
Perform routine maintenance of vacuum furnaces to NADCAP specifications
Possess intermediate working knowledge of primary facility systems (i.e. – HVAC, electrical, water, etc.)
Assure proper functioning of various security systems (fire detection and suppression, building access, etc.)
Commercial electrical knowledge, including 3 phase electrical installation.
Assist in procurement responsibilities for department.
Assist in maintaining preventative maintenance program, ensure proper documentation of work order completion metrics, and identify opportunities for improvement.
Assist in operating and maintaining machine coolant recycling system.
Assist in operating and maintaining facility wastewater systems.
Assists in planning of machine installation and/or departmental layouts.
Assist in snow removal and grounds repair as needed.
Cross-train with other employees as needed based upon knowledge and experience.
Participate in and support team initiatives
Frequent interaction with operations and support functions
Willingness to work overtime as needed
Participate in and assist in leading Team initiatives.
Reports problems to appropriate resource and/or Coach.
Proactively work to improve efficiency and quality of products.
Utilizes proper PPE, safety equipment, and follow safety procedures per position requirements.

Desired Qualifications:
Special education and/or vocational training. (Plumbing, Carpentry and Painting skills)
5 or more years’ experience at GE Aviation in Norwich, NY
Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic operation and repair
Commercial electrical knowledge including 3 phase
Industrial machining equipment diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.

The pay for this position is $23.70/hr. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on 11/4/2024.
