Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift

The individual will work closely with the maintenance team and operators on a daily basis in order to perform troubleshooting for machinery repairs and preventative maintenance. **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:** + Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems + Conduct preventative maintenance tasks + Machine/fabricate machine parts using drill press, lathe, mill, etc. + Perform machine repairs + Must have good interpersonal skills, be a team player and a self-starter who can work with little or no supervision. Good people interaction skills needed to work with operators, engineers, and other non-technical personnel + Position requires 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment + Mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic/hydraulic troubleshooting and repair skills. + Measurement, layout, drilling reaming and threading as well as welding and cutting are required + Understanding of mechanical drive systems and bearing maintenance / replacement + Ability to work at heights using proper equipment + Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics and prints + Ability to use test & measurement equipment such as multimeters, calipers, micrometers + Experience with PLCs, VFDs and Electrical Control systems a plus + A team player who possesses an excellent attitude + Willing to pursue further education + Self-directed and able to work with little direct supervision + Use logical thinking and the ability to analyze cause and effect situations + Capacity to address several issues or problems simultaneously The inability to perform any of the physical requirements does not preclude an applicant from consideration unless, following an individualized analysis, it is determined that the physical requirement is an essential job function and the applicant is unable to perform such function with or without reasonable accommodation.
