Job Description
We are seeking a Maintenance Technician for a night shift position, working from 6pm-6am on a rotating schedule. Initial training will be conducted on the day shift from 7am-3pm, Monday to Friday. The Maintenance Technician will perform routine daily maintenance activities for the facility and scheduled preventative maintenance on the processing equipment. The role involves troubleshooting mechanical failures, recommending corrective actions, and carrying out necessary repairs to restore equipment and operational status. The successful candidate will adhere to all facility safety programs.
ResponsibilitiesPerform routine daily maintenance activities for the facility and scheduled preventative maintenance on processing equipment.Identify problems, collect data, draw valid conclusions, and recommend corrective actions.Carry out necessary repairs in a timely manner to restore equipment to operational status.Identify materials needed, obtain pricing information, complete purchase orders, and order materials with approval.Interface with operations personnel regarding work orders and outside contractors, as necessary.Adhere to all facility safety programs.Assist with other tasks as assigned.Essential SkillsGood mechanical aptitudeTroubleshooting experienceExperience with swapping/replacing motorsExperience working on conveyorsPreventative maintenanceFive (5) years of maintenance experience in a processing/manufacturing environment preferredAbility to read and interpret ladder logic and electrical diagramsElectric motor control troubleshootingRepair and troubleshooting of mechanical systemsAbility to operate welding equipment and a cutting torchKnowledge of hand and power tools and their safe useAbility to lift 50 poundsAdditional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GEDLanguage, mathematical, and reasoning skills necessary to compute complex measurements and read and comprehend detailed instructions and electrical/mechanical drawingsKnowledge of 480-volt 3 Phase powerPurchasing experienceExperience in a GMP environment and documentationComfortable working on a smaller teamMust be able to read, write, and speak fluent EnglishWhy Work Here?

Work Environment
You will be working in a warehouse/distribution environment with an open concept. This position involves working on a small team on either shift and interacting with various areas in the facility, including the production team.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gurnee, Illinois.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
