Maintenance Technician

MAU is hiring a Maintenance Technician at Robert Bosch in Charleston, SC. As a Maintenance Technician, you will identify trends, periodically analyze equipment, and machine issues, perform necessary adjustments on manufacturing equipment, identify root causes, and initiate corrective actions. This is a direct-hire opportunity.

The Bosch plant has manufactured high-quality automotive products at the Charleston, SC facility for over 30 years. With a history of innovation, the plant specializes in advanced products, such as antilock braking systems, gasoline fuel injectors, and diesel fuel injectors. Our associates will run state-of-the-art automatic production equipment and technology in a clean, climate-controlled environment. These positions are long-term, with opportunities for upgrades, conversion to full-time hire, and skill training programs offered each year.
Required Education and Experience High school diploma or GED 2+ years of experience in manufacturing assembly or machining Electrical or electronics background, working with PLCs, drive systems, etc. Basic knowledge and experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, print-reading, and mechanics Rexroth Torque System knowledge/troubleshooting Cab printer knowledge Staeubli Robot troubleshooting experience Cognex and NeuroCheck Vision System, and Press/Staking Process knowledge General Requirements 18+ years of age Effective communication skills with various levels of the company, including the ability to create clear technical instructions Familiarity with Microsoft Office systems (Word, Excel) Ability to perform duties in a loud and fast-paced environment Motivated and willing to initiate tasks with minimal to no supervision Demonstrated mechanical proficiency, leadership ability, and teamwork mentality Willingness to work on alternative shifts and a demonstrated ability to adapt to changes Preferred Requirements Mechatronics training Essential Functions Coordinate efforts between operations and engineering functions Set up spare parts, optimize preventative maintenance, and maintain process parameters Identify best practices and create standards combining available information and knowledge Follow plant safety and environmental policies Maintain clean and orderly work areas Utilize plant systems to perform assigned tasks (i.e., SAP, MES, OPCON, Promaster, Tableau, etc.) Utilize International Production Network from other Bosch resources where necessary Troubleshoot equipment-related electrical issues Perform other tasks as assigned
