Maintenance Technician
**Job Summary:** As a Maintenance Technician in the Commercial Group, located in Winchester, VA you will report to a maintenance supervisor. You will drive productivity by performing specific tasks in relation to the technical areas in which they are assigned by communicating with machine operators, co-workers, and leadership to evaluate electrical and mechanical issues. This position requires technical expertise and comprehensive knowledge of injection and structural form plastics molding to evaluate mechanical, electrical and technical issues with little to no supervision. **Key** **Responsibilities** Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure that machines and mechanical processes continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently or the physical conditions of machines, industrial trucks, tools, parts and structures does not deteriorate Diagnose faults, malfunctions, and mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs Use technician computer to monitor and record machine statues as well as maintain daily records or logs that record performance problems, repairs, calibrations or tests Examine work orders and converse with equipment operators to detect equipment problems and to ascertain whether mechanical or human errors contributed to the problem Maintain a safe and accident free environment by adhering to safety standards and identifying safety issues and reporting them to his/her supervisor or the safety manager **Minimum Qualifications** High School diploma or equivalent Must be legally authorized to work in the United States Must be able to lift to 50lbs. Basic computer skills Must be a team player and able to communicate effectively with co-workers and leadership **Preferred Qualifications** Forklift experience preferred Three or more years of mechanical and/or hydraulic experience or training preferred Electrical experience preferred in voltages up to 460 volts Electrical experience in control circuits and programmable controllers preferred Ability to read and understand operating manuals and electrical prints Certificate or training classes in Mechatronics _ **Minimum Qualifications** High School diploma or equivalent Must be legally authorized to work in the United States Must be able to lift to 50lbs.
